Cheat sheets for UML

UML can help to visualise and annotate how software behaves or operates. Although it has some shortcomings like things can be annotated ambiguous, it is commonly used during software design.

When you are designing, you sometimes think “How should I draw this problem in UML?”. A good book which covers UML and gives great examples is the book of Martin Fowler “UML Distilled: A Brief Guide to the Standard Object Modelling Language“. Besides this book, I frequently use the reference card from Allen Holub.

If you’re using Visio for drawing UML scheme’s, you should have a look here. At this page, can find free Visio stencils that are conform the UML standard.
